Background: Vanisha Nambiar, a Professor and researcher at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, focuses her PhD research on public health nutrition. Her studies include the iron status of women in pearl millet-consuming areas of Banaskantha, Gujarat, and the relationship between anemia prevalence and pearl millet consumption among rural women in Gujarat. Additionally, she assesses the glycemic index (GI) and glycemic load (GL) of traditional millet-based Indian recipes and investigates iron and zinc content in raw and cooked varieties of pearl millet in Banaskantha District, Gujarat. She also serves as Deputy-Director in the Office of International Affairs at MS University of Baroda.
